The newly-opened Hand and Foot Spa on the Fulham Road, presents American Girl with the perfect opportunity to redeem the less groomed amongst us.

If you read my blog, you know that I am a big fan of a good manicure and pedicure. I subscribe to the Elle Woods (aka Legally Blonde) rationale that a good mani-pedi can pretty much cure anything. So, I was really thrilled to be asked to attend the opening of the Hand and Foot Spa on Fulham Road last week.

This place is fabulous! Think super luxurious surroundings, amazing treatments, and lovely staff. My favourites from the menu include an “Illuminating Almond Manicure” (£62), which begins with a warm soak in an almond milk bath, followed by nail file, shape and cuticle treatment. Your hands will then be exfoliated using an Almond moisture scrub, covered in a hand masque and massaged. Perfect for us girls whose hands need a little extra love and brightening up!

I was able to try one of the manicure add-on treatments at the launch entitled the “Orb warm oil and wax treatment.” The lovely therapist brushed deeply moisturizing warm oil on my hands, followed by paraffin wax. She then massaged the paraffin off leaving my hands soft and sweet smelling. This is a must have treatment for the winter months when our hands are dry from the chilly weather.

If your feet are in serious need of help, try the “Medical Pedicure” (£77), which can treat in-grown toenails, calluses, cracked heels, and a bunch of other yucky things you definitely want to get rid of.

I also love that there is a private “man room” for those Husbands (like mine) and boyfriends that get nervous being seen in nail salons, but are in serious need of a foot scrub.
