On his last long visit to Bermuda in 1910 Mark Twain wrote “You can go to heaven if you want. I’d rather stay in Bermuda.”
A century on Bermuda continues to win visitors’ hearts who find a beautiful Caribbean island with a wonderful climate, fantastic pink sand beaches, a vibrant culture and strong connections to Britain. The biggest change is that now holidaymakers can play at a choice of nine golf courses rather than the miniature golf that Twain enjoyed.
The Reefs Hotel & Club is an intimate resort situated on one of the islands’ finest pink sand beaches. It has been welcoming guests since 1947 and is famed for the exceptional service delivered by a dedicated team, many of whom have worked at the resort for over 20 years.
The resort has three restaurants, two bars, an infinity swimming pool, hot tub, two tennis courts and fitness centre. La Serena Spa – Bermuda’s only Elemis spa – has 8 treatment rooms including a suite for couples. There is a cycle shop for bike, moped and scooter rental and the resort can arrange golf, horse riding and motorised water sports.
Accommodation choices range from luxurious hotel rooms and suites to cottages and Club Suites all with sparkling sea views.
The cottages or Club Suites with up to four bedrooms are ideal for families. Cottages include extras such as a toaster and microwave while Club Suites have full kitchens, washing machines and dryers.
Couples will enjoy suites with ocean view balconies complete with outdoor Jacuzzis or private outdoor hot tubs.
In 2012 The Reefs celebrates its 65th anniversary and is offering holidaymakers a range of special offers. An early bird booking offer gives a US$125 resort credit for stays between 1 January and 15 May.
